Why Sly? Janell snuck Tempranillo into the typical GSM blend, but in reality, it is named after Janell’s brother Michael Sylvester (Sly) Dusi. Michael’s trucks are all about the chrome - hence the shiny label. From the Never Idle Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills of Templeton, this vineyard is head trained and dry farmed and is the only one we source fruit from that we don’t farm. This vineyard produces a unique Tempranillo based blend; an essence of blackberries, leather, and tobacco leaf. Velvet in the mouth - savory and slightly floral. Grenache adds bright notes, while the Syrah rounds everything out, creating a silky mouth feel.
